Check-in at the Counter
Tahiti Faa’a Airport has two check-in areas with counters numbered from 1 to 43. The first counters, numbered 1 to 10, are located in the west wing, while the remaining counters are in the east wing. Upon arriving at the airport, be sure to check the counter numbers assigned to your flight by consulting the flight information screens installed in the terminal hall.
For International Flight Check-in, You Must Have:
- A valid ID and/or passport
- Your reservation
- Your visa (depending on the destination)
- Your ESTA travel authorization, if applicable
The required arrival time at the airport varies depending on your destination and chosen airline. Generally, international check-in counters open between 3 hours 30 minutes and 3 hours before the scheduled departure time, and the check-in deadline is set at 1 hour before the scheduled flight time. For precise opening and closing times of the check-in counters, please refer to your airline or contact your travel agency.

Self-Service Kiosk Check-in
Passengers of AIR TAHITI have the option to check in at self-service kiosks located in the main dining area at Tahiti-Faa’a Airport. This service is available from 4:00 PM until 25 minutes before the scheduled departure time of your flight.
If you have checked baggage, please proceed to the dedicated « Drop Off » check-in counters to drop off your bags with an agent. Otherwise, you can go directly to the boarding area by presenting your boarding pass.
Check-in Online
Some airlines offer the option to check in online. Please check your airline’s website for more information on this.
Upon arrival at the airport, if you have baggage to check in, please proceed to the dedicated « Drop Off » check-in counters to deposit your luggage. If you don’t have checked baggage, you can proceed directly to the boarding area by presenting your boarding pass.
