The environment of French Polynesia is fragile. Help us preserve it by limiting the risk of introducing invasive species, whether animal or plant.
The importation of plants, plant products, animals, animal products, and foodstuffs into French Polynesia is strictly regulated.
You will be required to declare at the biosecurity counter, located after the customs service, any item of plant or animal origin, such as plants, food, seeds, flowers, etc.
You can find more information at this link.
Without knowing it, you could become a vector for invasive species and plant diseases, some of which have not yet reached certain islands. The transport of plants and animals to the islands is subject to strict phytosanitary conditions, which you can find in detail on the Biosecurity Directorate website.
The introduction and importation of all live animals into French Polynesia are subject to a prior import permit issued by the Ministry in charge of the Biosecurity Directorate.
We invite you to consult the relevant sections on the Biosecurity Directorate website.
